An analysis of the development situation of Chinese integrated circuit packaging industry

 一。 Chinas IC industry as a whole shows a trend of rapid development

          In recent years , with the increase in the demand of the domestic and international market and the global semi-conductor industrys transferring to China , Chinas IC industry has a rapid development  with an average annual growth rate of more than 30% in Chinas IC production and sales revenue from year 2000 to year 2007. Although in the third quarter of year 2008, the outbreak of the global financial crisis spreading to real economy had led to domestic and foreign semi-conductor markets dropping sharply and in year 2008 and year 2009 , Chinas IC industry sales revenue had negative growth , with the rapid making and further implementation of the national policy of stimulating domestic demand  and the gradually improving of the international market environment , the trend of sales growth began to appear in the domestic IC industry in the second quarter of year 2009 . Now the domestic IC industry  has been restored to the level before the financial crisis .

             In year 2011, China's IC industry sales revenue is 157.221 billion Yuan , an increase of 9.2% , while the global growth rate of IC industry sales revenue is only 0.2%.

             二。Packing and testing industry is an important part of China's integrated circuit

              In terms of design and chip manufacturing industry , packing and testing industry has the advantages of small investment and fast construction , therefore , many developing countries and regions give priority to develop packing and testing industry  and develop gradually IC design industry and the chip manufacturing  after accumulating capital, technology and market . China develops the packaging and testing industry first in the field of integrated circuits , because 

it has the advantages of cost and geography . Chinese enterprises of semi-conductor packaging and testing are growing rapidly . At the same time , foreign semi-conductor companies are shifting packaging and testing capacity . At present , our country has become one of the main base of the global packaging and testing . Packaging and testing industry , which has become the main part of China semi-conductor technology industry , is beginning to move closer to the international advanced level . In year 2011 , China 's packing and testing industry sales scale is 61.156 billion Yuan , accounting for 38.9% of the sales revenue of the integrated circuit industry .
